We are a family-owned venture headed by Thad Olson, an engineer, inventor, outdoorsman, and metal fabricator with 25+ years of experience designing and building industrial machinery. Our family also recently purchased a metal manufacturing shop, which will be responsible for the supply of fire pits to EmberFlo™.

Our fire pit design started about 5 years ago as a curiosity of how to improve one of our favorite family activities: the backyard bonfire.  The design is the product of chronic tinkering; we just kept trying new ideas. After 17 deign iterations, we knew we had something special.

A patent was filed in early 2024. We did this to help prevent the market from getting flooded with cheap, overseas versions of our design. We believe in providing well-built, quality, USA made products. We are excited to share our passion for outdoor fires with you!
